Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is a world-famous city that is visited by thousands of tourists every year and really justifies its name "Pearl of the Croatian Adriatic". Due to the large number of sights and interesting history, this beautiful city in the south of the Adriatic should not be missed during your vacation. It is located in Dubrovnik-Neretva County, 124 km from Drvenik.

It was founded in the 7th century under the name of Ragusa, and it experienced its golden period in the Middle Ages as the Republic of Dubrovnik. It is surrounded by 1940 meters long walls that have been preserved in their original form, and are a widely recognizable symbol of the city. Dubrovnik hides many historical fortresses, palaces, streets and roofs, and is under UNESCO protection in 1979. Just like with Venice, Dubrovnik has been the most famous cultural and economic center in the Mediterranean throughout history. Today it is one of the most visited cities in the Mediterranean.
